Our History:

South Tacoma Jewelry and Loan was established in 1956. In October 1997 Mike & Rebecca Bowerman purchased South Tacoma Jewelry & Loan. In 2000 we rebranded the store as American Pawnbrokers and in 2002 we moved the store from South Tacoma Way to 72nd and Portland Ave. In October 2005 we purchase Able Loans and in the beginning of 2009 we combined the two stores using American Pawnbrokers name and Able Loans location. In 2017 we moved next-door to our current location.
